Nantale Nsibirwa

Degree Registered for: Bachelor of Science Honours in Hydrology.

Potential Career Field: Hydological Consultant (Hydrologist), Environmental Consultant.

Research Interests: Water quality, distribution of water in catchments, ecosystems goods & services, impacts of climate change on agriculture and rain water harvesting.

Nantale is a 20 year old female who has recently completed her BSc in Hydrology and Geography at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She is passionate about understanding the environment in which we live in and would one day like to take the knowledge she has gained through science to better the everyday lives of people.

Nqobile Quinton Lushozi

Nqobile Quinton Lushozi is currently doing his honours in environmental sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg campus. His honours research project examines the use of macroinvertebrate species as biological indicators of stream flow changes and nutrient enrichment in rivers. His research interests mainly include water quality assessments and GIS and looks to one day do a project that merges these two fields. He has a strong passion for his field of work and believes that he has a role to play in upbringing an environmental conscious society.

Siyasanga Zingisa

Degree Registered For:  BA Honours in Environmental Management - UNISA

Research Interests: Conservation of biodiversity, human activities and Environmental management, nature conservation, EIA and Sustainability Analysis

Potential Career Field: Research, Environmental Impact Assessment practitioner, Environmental consultant and environmental scientist specialist.

Siyasanga holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of South Africa (UNISA), which she gained in 2013. She is currently completing an honours degree in Environmental Management with UNISA. Siyasanga is conducting environmental science research based on the conservation of biodiversity entitled “Assessment of Impacts of Agriculture on Biodiversity at Ntuzama D Wetland in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal”. Her passion for the environment extends to many areas in the environmental management field such as Integrated Environmental Management (IEM), which consists of numerous environmental management tools (EMS, CEA, SEA, Environmental Auditing, EIA, SIA), GIS. Nature conservation and research is Siyasanga’s particular interest she would like to continue in research in order to contributing to the knowledge of the Environmental Science field.
